Event Details

Adam Knight, author of Made of Iron: The Dina Jacobson Story, will talk about his experience writing about the Holocaust.

The course of Dina’s life has been decided for her. Work on the family farm in rural Poland. Marry a man of her father’s choosing. Raise children for her husband. But in 1939, her world is torn apart by war. Dina begins a journey that forces her to survive the nightmare of Auschwitz, endure years of homelessness, and then start life again in America. Made of Iron is the inspirational tale of Dina Jacobson, who lived through the worst horrors of the twentieth century and went on to share her message to future generations: Don’t hate. Speak out against intolerance. And never let anything like the Holocaust happen again.

A native of upstate New York, Adam Knight is an author and teacher in northern New Jersey. He is the author of a novel, At the Trough, and the memoir,  Made of Iron.
